Menendez Magazine v2.0 Readme ***Overview*** The MenMag v2.0 is an update to the MenMag v1.0 - the first 3D printable Glock magazines. Aimed at solving the biggest issues with the v1.0 (difficult to print, limited lifespan, nosediving, tight fitment in magwells, inconsistency between prints), the v2.0 stands out as a much better option. Every part of the magazine was updated - so none of the parts are compatible with the v1.0 parts. While ammo is expensive (live fire testing wasn't possible for most members of the beta team), dry cycling of magazines places very comparable stress to live fire on the magazine itself. And in dry cycle testing, testers were reporting magazines lasting over a thousand rounds cycled through without the magazine body wearing out - a massive improvement over the old MenMags. I was able to do several hundred rounds of live fire testing, and in a wide variety of applications, I had perfect reliability with these new magazines. ***Print settings*** All STL files are scaled/oriented properly!! Material: eSun PLA+ Infill: 100% Temps: 230C Nozzle/60C Bed Cooling Fan: Set to off (turn off 'fan always on' setting), enable autocooling (if such an option exists) with speed set between 35% min, 60% max, can be 80% for bridges (your exact settings will depend on your printer and slicer, but low cooling is desired) Nozzle: MUST BE 0.4MM Layer Height: Strongly Recommend 0.15mm on all parts. Changing this value can cause the feed lips of the magazine to print incorrectly. Bed Adhesion: gluestick or hairspray or both Supports: No supports on the magazine body, magazine floor plate, or magazine locking plate. Optional to use full supports on the follower. Wall Count: 8 recommended. I've found that printing with a wall count >4 is ideal. Using 8 ends up making essentially the whole magazine walls, which seems to help reduce swelling of the magazine when loaded. All other settings can/should be left as default or whatever you know works best with your printing setup. ***Print Instructions*** Print one combination of each of these parts per magazine: Magazine Body (Extendez, FGC-9, Menendez, or other length variations) Base Plate (G26/G19, G17, Standard) Locking Tab Follower For information on where to find magazine springs, how to assemble your magazines, and how to do pre-range checks, refer to "Menendez Magazine v2.0 Tutorial.pdf". ***Acknowledgements*** Thanks to all the beta testers, and to BoostWillis for their work on the mag loading tool and testing with AliExpress springs/FGC-9 magazines.
