M16K Carry Handle Sight This is a carry handle mounted sight to emulate the look and performance of the LaFrance M16K's integrated A1 carry handle sight. The design includes two parts, the sight and the screw cover. It is designed to utilize an M3x12 socket head cap screw and nut to secure the sight to the carry handle. The screw goes through the printed screw cover and is secured with a nut placed in the sight. The 12mm screw length will likely extend further than the nut and should be filed down to be flush with the top of the nut and not stick out into the field of view. I print the sight flat on the bottom, just as it would sit inside the rail. You'll need some supports for the loop over the front sight post. The screw cover just prints flat as well. Super easy, minimal supports needed for the inner overhang. Slide the printed sight into your A1 carry handle. It may work for A2 or other AR carry handles, but I've only tested it on A1s. Insert the screw into the screw cover. It should be tight, but you'll still need an allen wrench to tighten it. Place the nut in the sight. Screw them together. The front post isn't adjustable, however, you can file it down or extrude it higher depending on how yours is lining up. Keep in mind, this is an extremely short sight radius setup designed for sub 25 yard shooting. Don't expect high precision shooting out of this. As always, PLA+ is a minimum here, print with your normal high strength settings, but I personally run 8 walls 99% infill (Cura), tree supports, 210/52 temps.
