South Slav Buttstock Fabrication & Assembly: FFFTech/FFFTechnology Print Orientations: *Buttstock: Buttpad, down. *Stock Mount: Widest, flattest facet, down. *Locking Mech Mount: Front, non-angled facet down; Laffs logo upwards. *Locking Actuator: Upside-down, stem facing up. *Locking Bar: Bottom down. *Notch Cutting Template: Flattest facet, down. Manual Fabrication: 1) After printing the design and removing support material, deburr the edges of facets that were laid face down on the print bed. 2) Sand smooth the stem of the Locking Actuator. Slide on the compression spring over the stem. If the spring is too tight on the stem, continue to sand, periodically checking for fitment until the spring freely compresses and decompresses. 3) Check Locking Block fitment into it's corresponding channel in the bottom of the Locking Block Mount. If fitment is tight, and the sides of the locking block until there's no resistance when inserting into the channel. 4)Using the Notch Cutting Template, mark the rods roughly 32mm from their ends. To aid in identically marking both rods, temporarily insert the rods in the buttstock body before laying the template across both steel rods. 5) With a rotary tool, cut the notches 3.5mm deep. Be sure the rods are removed from the buttstock if you used them to aid in marking the notches, before proceeding to cut. Check Locking Bar fitment periodically. (Due to the rods heating up during the cutting process, run them under lukewarm water before checking Locking Bar fitment. It's possible they may heat up to the point of softening plastic as the cutting area.) 6) Mix togther 2 part epoxy, and pour a small amount into the rod channels. Afterwards, coat 9cm of the end of the rod with epoxy. (It should be obvious, but holy shit make sure its not the notched end of the rods. I know you dumb dumbs exist.) 7) Press the rods into the channels in the stock body. Once fully inserted, rotate them until the notches align, facing down. Use the Locking Bar as an aid if you're unsure of alignment. BE SURE TO WAIT 24HRs FOR EPOXY CURING BEFORE INSTALLATION Installation: 1) Insert the M4 nuts into the front pockets on the Stock Mount. 2) Press the Stock Mount into the rear trunnion. Be sure the rod guides are towards the bottom. 3) Using a socket wrench (Mine required a metric 13mm socket.) drive the M8x30 bolt through the Stock Mount, and into the rear trunnion. Check fitment, the mount should not be able to move. 4) Assemble the Locking Mech Mount. Slide the compression spring over the Locking Actuator's stem, and insert the actuator into it's channel in the top of the Locking Mech Mount. 5) With the Locking Actuator depressed, insert the Locking Block, and drive the M4x12mm bolt SLOWLY through the bottom. 6) Place the Locking Mech Mount behind the Stock Mount, and drive the two M4x30 bolts through the top two channels. They will interlock with the M4 nuts in the Stock Mount. Check fitment, Neither the Locking Mech Mount nor Stock Mount should move. (Tilt the muzzle upwards *Safely, please for fuck sake be sure nobody is directly a floor above you* so the M4 nuts stay at the bottom of their channels when driving the bolts into place.) 7) Slide the buttstock's guide rods through both mounts. The Locking Block should interlock with the cut notches. Press the Locking Actuator down and continue to slide the buttstock forwards to it's collapsed position. Allow for break in, should the Locking Block be a bit sticky to interlock into the rod notches and depress from them.
